About ZumaTools

ZumaTools is a collection of 348 free online tools that run entirely inside your browser — image compression, resizing and conversion, PDF editing, calculators, text and developer utilities, colour tools, converters and generators. There is no account, no upload, no file size limit and no watermark on anything.

Why the tools run locally

Most online tools work by uploading your file to a server, processing it there and sending the result back. That approach made sense when browsers could not do the work themselves. They can now: the same engine that decodes and displays an image on a web page can also re-encode it, and the same is true for PDFs, text and arithmetic.

Building on that has three consequences worth stating plainly. Your files never leave your device, which matters when the file is a passport scan, a signed contract or a screenshot full of account details. There is no upload or download wait, so results are effectively instant. And there are no quotas, because nothing you do costs us server time — the work happens on your own processor, which is also why a very long PDF takes a moment.

The trade-off deserves acknowledging too: very large jobs are limited by your device's memory rather than by a server farm, and every tool needs JavaScript to run. For the kind of work these tools do, we think that is the right trade.

Who runs it

ZumaTools is built and operated by Novpix LLC, a company registered in Newark, DE, United States. The same small team writes the tools, the explanations on each page and the reference data behind the calculators. There are no guest contributors and no syndicated content — if something on this site is wrong, it is our mistake to fix.

How it is paid for

The site is funded by advertising, and that is the whole business model. We do not sell data, there is no paid tier that unlocks the tools you are already using, and there are no watermarks that a subscription would remove. Advertising is kept out of the tools themselves — you will not find an ad between the button you pressed and the file you came for. Our privacy policy sets out exactly what our advertising and analytics partners receive.

How the content is kept honest

Each tool page explains not just how to use the tool but what it costs you — where quality is lost, where text stops being selectable, when a target file size simply cannot be reached. Tools that cannot do what you asked say so and report what they managed, rather than handing back something that will be rejected.

Where a page carries reference data — sales tax rates, photo specifications, platform dimensions — the source and the date it was verified are stated on the page itself, and the data is reviewed on a schedule. Every page shows when its content last changed, taken from the project's version history rather than from the build clock, and the changelog lists what has shipped, corrections included.

None of it is legal, financial or tax advice. The calculators apply the figures you give them; for anything you are filing or relying on, confirm the numbers with the relevant authority.
