About these tools
Some tools resist categorisation: hardware tests, reference lookups, niche converters and the occasional single-purpose page built because the alternative was a site covered in advertising.
They are collected here rather than forced into a category where nobody would look for them. None needs an account. Almost all run in your browser and never upload what you give them; the video compressor, converter, GIF maker and trimmer are the exception — they run on our server, say so before you pick a file, and delete every upload within an hour.
Questions people ask
My controller does not show up in the gamepad tester. Why?
Browsers only reveal a controller to a page after you press one of its buttons, as a privacy measure. Connect it by USB or Bluetooth, press any button with the page open, and it will appear.
The mic test shows no level. What should I check?
Allow microphone access when the browser asks (look for the microphone icon in the address bar if you dismissed it), make sure the right input device is selected both on the page and in your system sound settings, and check for a hardware mute switch — headsets often mute when the boom arm is raised.
