About these generators tools
Generators produce something from a specification rather than transforming a file you already have: a QR code from a link, a barcode from a product number, a password from a set of rules, a batch of plausible test records from a schema.
Local generation matters most for the secret ones. A password produced by a server is a password that has been transmitted, whatever the site promises; here it is generated by your browser's own cryptographic random source and never leaves the tab. The same applies to the contents of any QR code you create.
