Yes. The parts were drawn from scratch for this tool, not taken from a game, app or avatar service, and the avatars you make are yours to use as profile pictures on social networks, chat apps, forums and work tools, in videos and presentations, or in your own projects, including commercial ones. No credit is required.

Your choices are stored as a short code in the part of the address after the # sign, for example #a=10390… — one character per option. The address bar updates as you edit, and Copy link copies it. Opening the link rebuilds the same avatar in any browser. The code lives only in the link: nothing is saved on a server, and the part after # is not sent to the server when the page is requested.

512 × 512 pixels is plenty for most profile pictures, and 1024 × 1024 keeps it sharp on high-resolution screens and in print. Many sites crop square images to a circle themselves, so either works there; the circle crop gives transparent corners, which looks right on slides, documents and websites. The SVG is vector, so it stays sharp at any size.

Six face shapes, ten skin tones from very light to very deep, 24 hairstyles plus bald (including afro, box braids, locs, cornrows, curls, buns, bobs and long styles) in 14 colours, ten eye styles, seven eyebrow styles or none, five noses, ten mouths, blush and freckles, seven kinds of facial hair, seven pairs of glasses, eleven headwear options (including a hijab, a turban, a kufi, caps, beanies and a flower crown) in 18 colours, ten tops, six accessories and 12 background colours or a transparent background, with six patterns.

Hair is tucked under hats so it doesn’t poke through the top: a beanie, cap or beret hides the hair above the brim and keeps what falls below it. A hijab covers the hair, ears and earrings, and a turban covers the hair while leaving the ears visible. Take the headwear off and the hairstyle comes back unchanged.

No. The avatar is drawn as an SVG in your browser, and the PNG is made from it with the canvas element on your device. There is no account, and nothing you make is sent anywhere.
