What graffiti styles can I make?
Five fonts cover the main looks: Sedgwick Ave Display for a hand-painted tag, Rubik Bubbles for round bubble-letter throw-ups, Permanent Marker for a quick marker hand, Bungee for bold block letters, and Rubik Wet Paint, whose letters come with their own drips. The outlines, 3D block, drips and wobble are drawn on top of any of them, so a bubble font with a thick white outline and a dark block reads like a throw-up, while a tag font with drips looks like a fresh piece.
Can I get a transparent background?
Yes — choose Transparent under Background. The PNG then holds only the lettering, outlines, block shadow and drips, which is what you want for stickers, stream overlays, T-shirt mockups or placing the piece on your own photo of a wall. The brick and concrete walls are generated in your browser, so every export has a slightly different texture unless you keep the same random layout.
How are the drips made?
The generator looks along the bottom edge of every letter for places where paint would run off, picks a few with a minimum gap between them, and draws a run with a rounded blob at the end. Short drips are common and long ones rare, like real paint. The drips become part of the letter shape, so they get the same outline and gradient as the letters. Set Paint drips to 0 to turn them off, or press New drips & spray to move them.
Are the fonts free to use?
Yes. Sedgwick Ave Display, Rubik Bubbles, Rubik Wet Paint and Bungee are released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, and Permanent Marker under the Apache License 2.0. Both licences allow the fonts to be used in images for personal and commercial work, so the PNGs you download are yours to use. The fonts were trimmed to Latin characters to load quickly.
Which characters are supported?
The fonts cover English and most Western European letters, including accented letters such as é, ñ and ü, digits and common punctuation. Letters from other scripts, such as Cyrillic, Greek or Arabic, and emoji fall back to a system font, which looks out of place, so graffiti works best with short Latin words. Keep a tag to one to three words; long sentences get small.
About this tool
Graffiti lettering is built in layers, and this generator paints them in the same order a writer would: a soft shadow on the wall, overspray haze, a 3D block pushed down and to the right, an outer outline, the main outline, the fill with its colour fade, and finally a shine along the top-left edges of each letter. Every layer has its own control, so you can go from a clean block-letter logo to a dripping, sprayed piece on a brick wall in a few clicks.
The letter shape starts from one of five open-licensed display fonts and can be roughened with Letter wobble, which rotates and bounces each character by up to 14 degrees for a hand-painted feel. Drips are placed on the lowest edges of the letters, so they fall from where paint would actually pool. The outlines are grown out from the letter shape itself, so they wrap around the drips and wobbly letters evenly rather than following the font's outline.
The backgrounds are procedural. The brick wall is laid in a running bond with a mortar joint, every brick gets its own tone, pits and a light gradient, and the wall is finished with grain and a vignette; concrete is a mottled grey with fine grain. Pick Solid color for a flat backdrop, or Transparent to use the lettering anywhere.
The image size follows the text: a single word at the default 140 px size is roughly 450 to 800 pixels wide, and PNG 2x doubles both sides. Everything is drawn with the canvas in your browser — nothing is uploaded — and the PNG is lossless, so outlines stay sharp.
