How many would you rather questions are there?
321, all written for this page: 47 funny, 46 deep, 47 for kids and classrooms, 45 about food, 45 about travel, 45 for work and icebreakers, and 46 hard choices. Each one is shown as “Would you rather … or …?” with the two options side by side.
Are the questions safe for kids, classrooms and work?
Yes. Every question in every category avoids sexual content, alcohol, drugs and gore, so you can mix categories freely at school or in a meeting. The Kids & classroom category goes further and sticks to animals, superpowers, food, school and adventures that younger children understand.
Will the same question come up twice?
Not until the deck runs out. Your selected categories are shuffled with your browser’s crypto.getRandomValues and dealt in that order. When every question has been shown, the next press reshuffles for a new round, and the question you just saw is never the first card of that round. If you change categories, questions you have already seen move to the end of the new deck.
How does the vote counter work?
With Vote counter on, each option on the card is a button. Tap it once for every person who chooses that side and the card shows the number of votes and the percentage for each option. Votes are saved in this browser’s local storage only, so they are not combined with anyone else’s and are never uploaded. You can reset one question or clear all votes.
Can I use it on a projector or smartboard?
Yes. Projector mode shows the current question in large text on a dark background and asks the browser to go fullscreen. Use → or Space for the next question, ← to go back and Esc to exit. The vote buttons still work there, which makes it easy to run a show-of-hands vote with a class or team.
Can I print a list of questions?
Yes. Open “Make a list”, pick how many questions you want from your selected categories and press Make list. Print list opens your browser’s print dialog with a clean numbered list — choose “Save as PDF” there if you want a file. Your favorites can be printed the same way.
About this tool
This would you rather generator deals from 321 original questions, each written as two options that are genuinely hard to choose between. There are seven categories: Funny for silly dilemmas about sneezing glitter or talking squirrels, Deep for questions about memory, friendship and regret, Kids & classroom for age-appropriate choices like a pet dragon or a pet unicorn, Food, Travel, Work & icebreakers for meetings and new teams, and Hard choices for the classic superpower-style trade-offs. Select any mix of categories and the deck adjusts instantly.
Questions are dealt from a shuffled deck rather than picked at random each time, so nothing repeats until you have seen every question you selected. The shuffle uses the Web Crypto API, and the deck reshuffles automatically when it runs out. Back and Next work with the arrow keys, so a host can run the game from a laptop keyboard, and projector mode turns the card into a full-screen display readable from the back of a room.
The optional vote counter turns each question into a quick poll: tap an option once per person and a bar shows how the room split. It is designed for a single screen shared by a group, so votes are counted only in this browser and kept in local storage — there is no account and no server. Turn it off when you just want to talk through answers.
Teachers and meeting hosts can also use the list builder to deal 5, 10, 20, 50 or all of the matching questions at once, then copy them into a slide, share them to a group chat or print a numbered sheet using the browser’s print dialog. Favorites are saved in your browser, so you can build a shortlist of the best questions and print or copy just those next time.
