How it works

  1. Drop your PDF onto the tool to see how many pages it contains.
  2. Type the pages you want to keep, such as 5 or 12-18 or 1, 5, 9-11.
  3. Click Extract pages and download the new PDF containing only those pages.

Frequently asked questions

Can I extract pages in a different order?
Yes — the pages come out in the order you type them. Writing 5, 1, 3 gives a three-page PDF with the original page 5 first. You can even reverse a range by writing it backwards, such as 10-1, which is a quick way to flip a document scanned back to front.
What is the difference between extracting and splitting?
Splitting cuts a PDF into one file per page, all at once. Extracting keeps a chosen set of pages together in a single new file. If you want page 7 on its own, either works; if you want pages 7 to 12 as one document, extracting is what you need.
How do I get every page from a point onward?
Leave the end of the range open. Typing 20- extracts page 20 to the last page, whatever the total is, and -5 extracts from the beginning through page 5. Handy when you are pulling the appendix off the back of a long report.
Is the quality of the extracted pages reduced?
No. The pages are copied across at full fidelity, keeping their text, fonts, vector graphics and images exactly as they were — nothing is rasterised or re-compressed. Text stays selectable and searchable in the new file.
Does my PDF get uploaded?
No. Reading the file, copying the pages and building the new PDF all happen inside your browser, and the download comes from your own device. Nothing is transmitted to a server at any point.

About this tool

Sometimes you only need part of a document: the signed page of a contract, one invoice out of a monthly batch, a single chapter from a long manual, or the two pages a form actually asked you to send. This tool copies the pages you name into a fresh PDF and leaves the rest behind.

The page selector is deliberately flexible. Commas pick individual pages, hyphens mark ranges, open-ended ranges like 20- run to the end, and the order you type is the order you get — so 5, 1, 3 really does put page 5 first. Because reversed ranges work too, typing 12-1 is a fast fix for a stack that came out of the scanner back to front.

Extraction is lossless. Pages are copied with their original text, embedded fonts, vector artwork and images intact, so nothing is flattened into a picture and text remains selectable, searchable and copyable in the new document. File size follows naturally from what you kept: five pages out of two hundred produce a small file.

The work happens in your browser and your original stays untouched on disk, so there is no upload and no risk of leaving a copy on a server you do not control. That matters for the documents this job usually involves — signed agreements, payslips, bank statements, medical results and identity papers, where sending the whole file to a website just to pull out one page is exactly the wrong trade-off.
