If Midjourney isn’t working for you

When the live checks above look normal, the problem is usually on your side or limited to one feature. These are the fixes that help most often with Midjourney:

  1. Check Website vs Discord Bot on the status page

    status.midjourney.com reports image generation, the Discord Bot and the Website separately, plus current wait times for Fast and Relax. If only the Discord Bot is affected, you can usually keep creating on midjourney.com, and the other way round.

  2. Slow jobs in Relax mode are not an outage

    In Relax mode your jobs wait in line until GPUs are free, and Midjourney says waits of up to about 30 minutes are normal; heavy Relax users tend to wait longer. Compare your wait with the Relax times on the status page before assuming something is broken.

  3. Out of Fast time

    Fast mode uses the monthly GPU time in your plan, which resets on renewal and doesn’t carry over. Check what’s left on the Manage Subscription page or with /info in Discord, then switch to Relax (Standard plan and up) or buy extra Fast time.

  4. Jobs not starting because of queue limits

    Every plan limits how many jobs can run at once and how many can wait in the queue. New jobs wait until earlier ones finish; use /info in Discord to see running and queued jobs.

  5. Signed in but your images are missing

    If you made images before August 2024, they’re linked to your Discord login. Sign in to midjourney.com with Discord, not Google, to see them.

Questions about Midjourney outages

Does Midjourney have an official status page?

Yes, status.midjourney.com. It shows whether image generation, the Discord Bot and the Website are running, and lists current Fast and Relax wait times. This page combines the official status page, our own reachability checks every minute and user reports.

Why are my Midjourney images taking so long?

In Relax mode, waits of up to 30 minutes are normal, and heavy Relax users are placed further back in the queue. Fast mode is quicker but uses your monthly GPU time. If Fast jobs are also slow, check the wait times on the status page.

Midjourney works on the website but not in Discord. Why?

The website and the Discord Bot are separate systems, so one can fail while the other works — and a Discord outage also takes the bot down. Midjourney’s Discord server has announcement channels and a support channel.

How do I check my remaining Fast hours?

Look at the usage details on the Manage Subscription page on midjourney.com, or run /info in Discord. Fast time resets when your subscription renews, and unused time does not carry over.
